Online Safety Day – 9th February 2021!
This year, Safer Internet Day was on celebrated on Tuesday 9th February 2021. However, this year was a little different. The children and school were all learning remotely from home and we knew that the importance of online safety was greater than ever! All children still completed their designated computing programme of online safety via Zoom lessons during this time and the possible risks and dangers when online were discussed more often during lessons and class Zoom catch up times.
Please see below for a recording of this year's Safer Internet Day assembly which was delivered remotely to ALL children during the week of Online Safety Day, so you can revisit some of the key themes with your child regularly. As always, we will always endeavour to help you stay up to date with new apps and online changes that the children may be exposed to and The National Online Safety Centre often has very useful tips and guides for you to download and read about new apps or games, along with general online safety advice - https://www.saferinternetday.org/
You can also regularly check our own online safety updates and parental guide sections on our online safety homepage of the school website.
