New catering provision for Monkston Primary School

When all pupils return to school in September, they will notice an exciting change that Monkston Primary School has made to its catering provision. The school is now working in partnership with Innovate, who offer restaurant quality cuisine, which is inspired by the best and most fashionable high street concepts. 

Pupils will benefit from nutritionally balanced, seasonal, fresh and age appropriate food using ingredients that have been sourced responsibly. The menu will follow a similar weekly pattern, so pupils know what to expect; for example, a roast dinner served every Wednesday and a curry every Thursday. Menus will include the ‘V’ range, which caters for vegetarians and vegans.

There will be new regular themed days celebrating events, such as ‘Bonfire Night’, ‘Chinese New Year’ and ‘World Book Day’, to name just a few.

Prices will remain unchanged.

Innovate will provide catering across all the Kingsbridge Education Trust’s schools and has produced a short video.

KET and Innovate are working closely together to ensure that the provision provided from the outset is outstanding, whilst mitigating the risks associated with operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.  To this end we will only be able offer packed lunches for the first half of the autumn term.
