English Weekly Overview - Biography

 

Monday:Watch the clip which explains what features a biography text has. Now text mark the Tim Peake example.

 

Tuesday: Look at powerpoint of your new teacher in Y5.  Make detailed notes on your planning sheet.

You will be using this to help you write a biography of your new class teacher.

 

Wednesday and Thursday: Use these days to help you write your biography. Keep reminding yourself of the features and your non-negotiables. Your biography needs to be informative and interesting to read. You will also need to use your plan and it may be useful to use the example biography text to help you think of some ideas

PLEASE NOTE: for those of you who have already written a biography about Mrs Wood, you could either write another about Mrs Wood or about Miss Stocker.

Every Friday, you can choose what activity you do, it just needs to be based around the stimulus for the week - Biographies. This week, you may choose to write a biography about anyone you choose. Perhaps link it to your afternoon task and write it about someone you are inspired by.
