The Friends of Monkston Primary School are a group of parents/carers and School Staff who volunteer to organise and support fund-raising activities and events. It is through these events that we hope to foster a partnership between parents/carers, the School staff and the children.

As well as aiming to achieve our fundraising goals we also hope to enhance our local community by organising regular events both during and after the school day. All the money raised by these events goes directly to benefit the children and the School. In the past 2 years we are proud to have sponsored the following major purchases:

1) £2,500 of stage lighting
2) £2000 each year towards the Computer Laptop Scheme for Year 4
3) £2000 to improve the school’s outdoor play equipment.

All the 'Friends' give up their own time and expertise on a volunteer basis. The committee meets once a term and although you don't have to be on the committee to help out with any of the events, we are always pleased to welcome new members and fresh ideas.
